Exploring Cyclical Historical Patterns in Art 🎨

👀🖼️ The paintings engage with the notion of cyclical historical patterns, echoing the ideas of the German philosopher Georg Hegel, who said, "The only thing that we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history." This reflection on the repetitive nature of historical events is a central theme in my work. 🎨

🌟✨ This portrait painting is from my 2022 solo exhibition titled *Two Minutes Before Midnight*. In this series, I captured the recurring patterns and themes that history presents, highlighting the lessons we often fail to learn. Through a blend of abstraction and representation, each piece invites viewers to reflect on these cycles and their implications for the present and future. 🎨

🖌️🎨 By examining these historical repetitions, my work seeks to provoke thought and discussion about our collective memory and its impact on contemporary society. The layered textures and subtle details in each painting are metaphors for the complexities of history, urging a closer look at how we can break free from these patterns and create meaningful change. 🎨
